Open Corporation "Far East Generating Company" in the course of implementation of the project on transfer on gas the Heat Electropower Station of Nikolaevsk - on-Amur applied "UKUG- 40" as a node of commercial accounting of gas, which was installed at the entrance of the gas pipeline branch to FFP at a distance of 50 m from the point of connection with gas pipeline "Sakhalin-Khabarovsk". Diameter is 326 mm, the gas pressure is up to 100 atm (effective pressure is about 34 atm).
The node of commercial accounting UKUG-40 was designed based on ultrasonic flowmeter with clamp-on sensors of the firm «Controlotron corp». Selecting the meter was conditioned by:
- the project budget
- accuracy of the measurement of gas flow in two directions, since the meter was installed at the entrance of the gas pipeline branch.
When creating UKUG-40, these two factors were taken into account.
The metering unit was put into operation on October 20, 2008 and has been successful working at the branch pipelines to Nikolayevsk-on-Amur for more than 4 years.
